Smereski Launcher

Smereski Launcher is a full Android home-screen replacement, not a third-party desktop pinned to the device. It registers the HOME intent, takes over the home button, and runs as the default shell once selected in Settings.

Visually it leans into the same WeatherStar 4000 nostalgia as Jazzy on the 8s: blue-and-orange palette, scrolling forecast bar, blocky type. The launcher and the game are designed to read as one continuous product when both are installed.

Functionally it covers the launcher basics — app drawer, categorized apps, search, clock, weather pulled by location — plus a Jazzy score widget. The widget reads the same key-value storage the game writes to, so a clear in Jazzy updates the home screen with no sync round-trip and no broadcast plumbing.

Native Android — Kotlin, Material 3, min SDK 24 — sharing assets and theme tokens with the game so the visuals stay locked together as the project iterates.
