Privacy Policy

This policy covers Hex Poker TD(the “game”, Android package space.smereski.pokerhextd), published by David Smereski (“we”, “us”). It explains what the game does and does not collect.

The game has no accounts and asks for no personal information. By default your game progress, settings, high scores, and unlocked cosmetics are stored locally on your device only. The optional online features described below are the one exception, and only send the limited data listed there.

The game offers optional online leaderboards and cloud save. When you use them, the game generates a random anonymous device id (a uuid) that is not linked to your name, email, or account, and is used only to group your entries and your save together.

If you post a score, we store that score, the wave you reached, your anonymous device id, and an optional public handleyou choose (up to 12 characters, profanity-filtered; shown as “anon” if left blank or filtered). Cloud save stores an opaque blob of your game progress keyed to your device id. We collect no other personal information through these features. Your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit abuse and is not stored with your scores or retained for tracking.

This data is held on our behalf by our database/hosting provider purely to run these features. To have your leaderboard entry or cloud save removed, email us with your device id and we will delete it; leaderboard entries also age out as boards roll over (daily boards are per-day) and only the top scores per board are kept.

The game shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and use device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, and app-usage data, as described in Google’s advertising policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. If a one-time purchase to remove ads is offered, buying it stops the game from requesting ads.

The game is rated for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We do not sell your data. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, and only for advertising, as described above.

You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device’s privacy settings. Uninstalling the game removes all of its locally stored data from your device.

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
